Mentoring

All new teachers in Arkansas are mentored through the Pathwise mentoring program from Educational Testing Service. Each new (or "novice") teacher is paired with an experienced teacher who has been trained in the Pathwise Induction program. Mentoring takes place through a series of activities that includes lesson planning, observation, discussion, and reflection.

If your school would like Pathwise training for its teachers, please contact Northwest Arkansas Education Service Cooperative or Nick Tschepikow, Director, Northwest Arkansas Education Renewal Zone.

For more information on the Pathwise system, see:

If your school would like mentoring within content areas, please contact Nick Tschepikow, Director, Northwest Arkansas Education Renewal Zone.
